Green Leasing – Developing Cooperation and Collaboration between Tenants and Landlords

This fast-paced session will focus on using Green Leases, Green Lease Addenda, Memoranda of Understanding, and Building Rules and Regulations to help Tenants and Landlords converge on issues related to sustainability.  Topics to be covered include: how to draft green language for new leases as well as modifications to existing ones; how to overcome “split incentives” that can stymie investments in enhanced efficiency; the commercial and legal practicalities of applying green principles to your own building; best practices and resources for facilitating collaboration between Tenants and Landlords on various green initiatives; and more.
